The 1985 Porsche 911 known as Project Nasty is a highly customized and performance-enhanced Carrera coupe transformed over 17 years by Joey Seely, a former professional racing technician and engineer.

The original 3.2-liter engine was replaced with a heavily modified 3.6-liter flat-six engine, built in collaboration with Rothsport Racing and Goritz SixFix, which now produces about 360 horsepower at 8,000 RPM, significantly more than the factory 207 hp of the original 1985 911 Carrera engine.

Key Technical Details:

Engine: Rebuilt 3.6L long-rod flat-six from a 964 RSA with CNC-ported heads, large intake valves, a GT3 oil pump, CP Carrillo rods, Mahle Motorsport short custom pistons, and custom-ground Elgin camshafts.

Exhaust and Intake: Individual throttles paired to 997 GT3 Cup intake manifolds, specialty ceramic-coated long-tube headers, and a 991 GT2 RS titanium muffler, all managed by a Motec engine management system.

Transmission: Close-ratio Type 915 five-speed manual transaxle, overhauled for this build, with a refurbished limited-slip differential and G50 axles 4.Chassis and Suspension: 935-spec front subframe, RSR sway bars, KW Competition three-way adjustable dampers with remote reservoirs, and custom roll cage welded for structural integrity and competition-level safety.

Bodywork: Extensive custom work including hand-flared fenders, carbon-fiber hood and spoiler, composite bumpers and splitter, revised lighting, and finished in Guards Red.

Wheels and Brakes: 18-inch BBS E88 wheels paired with four-piston Brembo calipers for enhanced stopping power.

Interior: Race-inspired with Recaro Pole Position seats, Schroth harnesses, Alcantara trim, a Wevo shifter, MOMO steering wheel, and power windows.

The revised bodywork features a Son of Cobra carbon-fiber hood, spoiler, and one-piece decklid with a wing as well as hand-flared fenders, Aero-style side mirrors, composite rocker panels, a composite front bumper, and a composite rear bumper with an integrated grille. Originally a sunroof example, the car has been fitted with a welded roof panel, and the body has been refinished in Guards Red several times. Replacement 993-specification window seals were installed, the windshield wipers were relocated, the washer nozzles were shaved, and a heated windshield was installed. The headlight assemblies were sourced from a 964 and fitted with 356 lenses, while the composite taillight buckets house Euro-style lenses. 997 RSR driving lights are integrated into the front bumper. The fuel-filler door now houses a battery kill switch.
BBS E88 18 wheels measure 8 wide up front and 10 wide out back and are wrapped in 225/40 and 265/40 Falken Azenis RT660 tires, respectively. KW Competition three-way adjustable dampers with remote reservoirs are fitted at all four corners, and additional modifications include RSR-style sway bars, bump steer tie rods, and a 935-specification subframe, control arms, and rear spring plates. Stopping power is handled by custom Brembo four-piston front and rear calipers with a rear bias over slotted rotors.
The MOMO Prototipo steering wheel is mounted to a quick-release hub and fronts a 170-mph VDO speedometer, a RUF 8k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary readouts. The analog clock has been removed. The six-digit odometer shows 5k miles, which is said to represent the miles added after the most recent overhaul.
